Even with something such as Portal 2.Not sure about their move with 'not wanting to create a new engine/just continually upgrade the Source engine' as they've stated recently, but if they could create something, say, in the sci-fi realm that was as quality as HL2 but even better, and as you've said, original, I'd count on it being fantastic.
Click to expand.Yeah, would be nice if they did, though I'd not count on anything from them any time soon.Half-Life as a game, particularly HL2, was phenomenal for what it was, and Valve has an excellent eye/ear for aesthetics.
